American Southwest Insurance Managers began operations in June of 1990. Initially we offered only a monthly direct bill personal automobile insurance program, and appointed a limited number of agents in Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our business steadily increased throughout the rest of 1990 and 1991, and with the passage of mandatory insurance laws in September of 1991, we experienced a major market expansion. With this expansion came a need to offer a longer term insurance product. In late 1994, we began offering our 6 month direct bill program, combining the advantages of direct bill processing and lower down payments with a monthly billing cycle. As our business expanded, our need for improved office space increased as well. After several different homes in various office buildings in North Dallas and Plano, we relocated to Renner Pkwy in Richardson, Texas on December 31, 2004. As our company continues to grow, we remain committed to offering a full range of personal auto insurance products through our statewide network of independent agents. As we celebrate our 20 year anniversary, we take pride in the leadership position we maintain in this turbulent market. Looking to the future, we will continue to combine our experience and innovation to help improve the overall marketplace, and serve our policyholders.
